PANJIM: KJ’s, Mira Mar trounced Auxillium High School, Caranzalem 42-19 in the boys section in the all-Goa State Youth basketball championship for the prestigious Wardens Trophy for boys and girls, organized by the Goa Basketball Association, at Youth Hostel, Mira Mar, on Tuesday.
Saichandra with 10 points played well for the winners while Yeshuraj Patil excelled for the Auxillium.
In the second match, Margao Heaters bt St Anthony High School, Duler 46-16. Anson D’Cruz led the Margao Heaters to a comfortable victory while V Arvind fought hard for St Anthony.
In the girls section, Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim struggled before defeating St Anthony HS, Duler 14-9 points.
The Duler school put a spirited performance.
