The parents of Judo students stated that their children have been practicing for the entire year for this upcoming National’s and have been deprived of their right to participate.
The parents namely, Alroy Rodrigues, Rahim Shaikh, Alister Mascarenhas, Mayurk Kolekar, Saiprasad Naik, Praveen Bhati, Noor Shaikh and Manisha Kushwah along with advocate Bryon addressed the media, here, on Thursday.
They pointed out that they had already submitted a written complaint to the SAG’s Executive Director against the president of Goa Judo Association about the injustice they have claimed had been meted out to them.
“The above named persons on November 2 went to register their membership as players to Goa Judo Association as they wanted to participate in the upcoming senior Judo Nationals to be held in Punjab from December 2 to 7 of which the selection trials was to be held on November 4 at Mapusa,” said the parents in the letter to the SAG.
“The President of Goa Judo Association affronted us by saying that all Margao senior judokas don’t have any right to register and he will not allow any of the Margao senior judokars to register under Goa Judo Association,” the parents further alleged.
