MAINA: Margarita Boys, Assolna registered a solitary goal victory over Micon Warriors, Agalli-Fatorda to move to the final of the16th Rebello Pandal football tournament, organised by Rebello Pandal, at St. Rita church ground, Maina, on Wednesday.
Margarita Boys goalkeeper Aliston Fernandes gave his best to his team while Maxwell gave his best to Micon warriors Fatorda.
It was James who netted the match winner with a placement shot of Sweden pass in the 23rd minute.
The second half was dominated by Micon Warriors Fatorda with Maxwell’s shots brilliantly saved by Assolna goalkeeper Aliston Fernandes in the 46th, 49th and 51st minutes.
Aliston Fernandes was awarded the man-of-the-match.
Margarita Boys Assolna will now meet JK Caterers Maina in the final on Easter Sunday.
