SANVORCOTTO CUNCOLIM: Marina EHS downed Vidya Vikas Academy 2-0 to move ahead in the U-17 Salcete Taluka Subroto Mukherjee football tournament played at DSYA ground, Cuncolim.
Arfan Sayed and Mackuya Valder Maniz scored a goal each. In the second match, Gauncar HSS of Raia defeated Govt. Multipurpose HSS of Borda 3-0. Nipun Tete scored a brace and Selay Colaco added one goal to the team’s tally.
Rosary HSS of Navelim also made it to the other round of the tournament with a 2-0 win over St Alex HSS of Curtorim. Salvador Gama and Garvison Fernandes scored a goal each for Rosary HSS.
Fr Agnel Multipurpose HSS thumped OL of Carmel HS of Curtorim 4-0. Clifton Colaco scored hat-trick while Austin Fernandes scored one goal.
Perpetual Succour Convent HS of Navelim also move ahead with 4-1 goal win over Regina Martyrum HS of Assolna.
Denver Pires scored a brace while Anslan Vaz and Flanoy Pires scored a goal each for Perpetual Succour HS while Tanish Simoes reduced the margin for Regina Martyrum HS.
