MAPUSA/RAIA: Sai Avtar SC drubbed ABC Arambol SC by 8-1 margin in the GFA Third Division League Bardez Zone played at Vagator PYSC ground, Vagator, on Friday.
Sai Avtar colts struck four goals in each session of play. Marvoti Horizon (3), Sagun Shirodkar, Kunal Virnodkar, Tanay Mapsekar (2), Ulhas Agarwadekar scored for the winners while Cledwyn Rodrigues managed to score the consolation goal for Arambol unit.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem, FC Sanquelim registered a hard fought 1-0 win over Sirsaim SWC. The all-important goal for the Sanquelim colts was scored in the 69th minute of play by Ismail Savaneer, whose power-packed strike crashed into the back of the nylons, 1-0.
At Poriat ground, Calangute, Badem United registered a fluent 3-1 win over Holiday Sports Club Arpora. All the goals came in the first session of play. Aditya Talwar (2) and Nikhil Bandari scored for Badem colts while for Arpora unit Cyrus D’Souza scored.
At Moira ground, Ucassaim SC registered a solitary goal win over El Shaddai SC. Valmon Barreto scored the winning goal for Ucassaim SC in the 80th minute of play, 1-0.
In the Salcete Zone League: At Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, St Sebastian YC downed Raitura SC by 3-0 goals. Edison Dias, Anthony Barreto and Azzifen Barreto were the scorers for St Sebastian SC.
At Dramapur ground, Santa Cruz Society of Poitomado outplayed United Club of Orlim by 5-0 goals. Viraj Velip and Vayne Pires scored a brace each while Ravesh Velip was the other scorer.
