PANJIM: Hosts Mashem Cricket Club registered a comfortable 67 run victory over Al Fatah to move ahead in the 33rd Nanda Lolayekar cricket tournament, at Nirakar Maidan, Dapot-Mashem, on Sunday.
Mashem won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a strong total of 236 for the fall of eight wickets. Santosh Satarkar (73) and Sufian Alam (51) were the top scorers for Al Fatah. Babul Chamansab picked up three wickets for 37 runs.
In reply, Al Fatah were bundled out for 169 although Sunny Kanekar scored a 57 not out. Sufian Alam took three wickets while Santosh Satarkar and Vinesh Satarkar clinched two wickets each. Sarvodaya Sports Club will face Polem Cricket Club in the next match on January 25.
