Mata move into semis

Mata Secondary School, Vasco defeated Progress High School, Sanquelim by four wickets to move into the semi-finals of 12th Mukund Trikhanad memorial cricket tournament, organized by Margao Cricket Club, at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, here, today.
Batting first, Progress High School were bundled out at 80 in 20 overs. Srinath Paranjabe topped scored with 21. For Mata Dilip Tirodakar was wrecker in chief scalping 6 for 10.
In reply, Mata achieved the target with 84 for 6 in 23 overs.
Manish Sharma (23) was the main contributor for winners. He was well supported by Sumeet Kedar (12) who remained no tout. For Progress, Lateef Khan and Vaibhav Naik shared two wickets each.
In another match, New Educational Institute of Curchorm scored 6 wickets win over Perpetual HS of Navelim on the way to quarter-finals.
