MAPUSA: Mathias Dias scored four times in the second session as Saligao Sporting Club thrashed Dunes Sports Club 4-1 to advance into the semi-finals of 15th Parish Youth Vagator Cup football tournament organized by Parish Youth of Vagator Sports Club at Vagator ground, Wednesday.
After a barren first half, Saligao went all guns blazing and broke the deadlock in the 48th minute through Mathias, who finished neatly off an assist from Ajay Divadkar.
Two minute later, Ajay cleverly set up Mathias for his brace.
Stunned by the two quick goals, Dunes regrouped and pulled one back in the 52nd minute through Sandesh Sawant.
Then onwards, Saligao continued to dominated the proceeding and in the last five minutes of play Mathias scored another two goals to make it 4-1.
