RAIA: MCC Academy of Margao defeated AIMS Sawantwadi by a comfortable margin of 8 wickets to emerge as champs of the “Adarsh”cup U-15 cricket tournament organized by Adarsh Sports & Cultural Club of Jetty Mormugao, held at Arlem – ground, Raia, recently.
AIMS Sawantwadi won the toss and elected to bat first – posted just 125 runs which were later easily chased by MCC Academy with 8 wickets in hand.
Ex. Ranji cricketer & Level 3 cricket coach Vinod Dhamaskar was the chief guest and handed over the prizes in the presence of Navnath Korgaokar & Sanjay Manjrekar – Secretary and Vice President of ASCC.
Score in brief: AIMS Sawantwadi, 125 in 32.5 overs (Raghuveer Satoskar 51, Vishwananth Rege 20. Sujal Korgaokar 18 runs. Aaradhya Goel 4-22, Samarth Rane, Shantanu Nevgi & Gaurav Naik 1 wkt each) lost to MCC Academy, 126-2 in 27.5 overs (Jeevan Chittem 49*, Yash Kasvankar 33*, Shantanu Nevgi 26 runs. Soham Pawaskar & Manish Nirawdekar 1 wkt each).
