PANJIM: MCC and Shri Damodar College won their respective matches in Millenium International Sports Club cricket series at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao, Friday.
MCC thrashed MISC, Delhi by nine wickets.
MISC scored 83 in 20 overs. Basu Mitra 17, Koushal Tirkary 15 top scored for MISC. Varad Dabholker was the wrecker-in-chief picking up three wickets. Shekhar took two while Raj Raiker, Felix Alemao and Nihal Faleiro took one each.
In reply, MCC overhauled the required tally in 11.3 overs for the loss of just one wicket. Sumiran Amonkar 36 not out, Suraj Dongre 33 were the top scorers for MCC.
In the second match, Damodar College beat MISC by five wickets.
MISC scored 106/6 in 20 overs. Hemant Baliya 26, Vikas Dahiya 26 and Koushal Tirkary 13 were the top scorers for MISC. Mohit Naik and Mukund Bandodkar took two wickets each while Akhil Pillai and Damodar Alve picked up one each.
In reply, Damodar College scored the requisite runs for the loss of five wickets.
Abhay Rivankar 48, Mukund Bandodkar 21 and Shubham Dessai 12 were the top scorers.
