MARGAO: MES College edged past Nirmala IE 2-1 in the girls semi-final match of the inter-collegiate futsal tournament organised by Futsal Association of Goa, Don Bosco ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
Latisha and Nimisha scored a goal each for the winners while Andrea scored a consolation goal for Nirmala College.
In the boys quarter-final match, Sylvester Dias netted a hat-trick as Don Bosco College, Panjim thumped Govt. College of Borda, 5-1.
Lyndon Cardozo scored a brace while Savio scored for Govt College of Borda.
MES College blanked Chowgule College 2-0 in the second quarter-final.
Kashinath and Adarsh scored a goal each for the winners.
A total of 14 boys’ teams and 4 girls’ teams participated in the tournament.
