PANJIM: MES’s Vasant Joshi College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar, won the Inter-Collegiate Taekwondo Men’s Championship for 2024-25, organised by Goa University, at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao Plateau, recently.
Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, claimed the runners-up position and Don Bosco College, Panjim, finished third. The best taekwondo player of the championship was awarded to Rahul Bhugatti of Don Bosco College, Panjim.
The chief guest for the presentation ceremony was Dr Francis Lobo, the college director of physical education and sports at Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim. He was accompanied by Balachandra B Jadar, the assistant director of physical education and sports at Goa University. They presented medals and trophies to the winners.
