AGENCIES, CHENNAI: Goa won by three wickets against Rajasthan in Group C match of the Vijay Hazare 2018 50 overs tournament, at MRF Pachyappas ground, here, on Thursday.
Goa put Rajasthan to bat after winning the toss. The North side team scored 266 for 8 in their innings. C.K. Chundawat n.o.71, AN Garhwal 40, AV Gautam 31, and captain A Choudhary n.o. 31 were the top scorers.
AS Desai was in top form for Goa claiming four wickets while DW Misal and AG Pandrekar took two and one wicket respectively.
During the chase, Goa’s DW Misal scored half century to remain unbeaten 66 to score 267 for 7 in 49.5 overs. SS Prabhudessai 59, KA Vaz 46, SK Kamat 38, also managed to put up a good show.
AR Lamba took two wickets while A Choudhary, KK Ahmed, RD Chahar, CK Chundawat claimed a wicket each for Rajasthan.
