PEDDA-BENAULIM: Mix Friends Benaulim blanked Jojo Boys, St Estevan 2-0 to enter into the final of the 1st all Goa UK /US Boys U-14 trophy soccer tournament, organised by Mix Friends Benaulim, at Xembu Moll ground, Benaulim, on Saturday.
Jojo Boys dominated the first session as Alren Dias and Sam Pereira controlling the midfield but were unlucky as they missed two goal scoring opportunities.
Mix Friends increased the tempo after the lemon break and succeeded through Dennel’s neat placement on a pass by Shedon Rodrigues in the 28th minute.
Shedon scored again in the 38th minute to take the game away from Jojo Boys. Mix Friends will now meet Pedda Boys in the final on April 4.
Prashant Kurade was the chief guest and gave away the man-of-the-match trophy to Sam Pereira.
