PANJIM: The 6th edition of MLT T20 Cup , organised by MLT Cricket Club, will commence from December 18 at Sanquelim Municipal ground.
Altogether 16 teams –Penha de Franca, Veling Cricketers, V United SCSC, Bodgeshwar Cricket Club, Siddhant Sports Club, Dazzling Boys, Alok XI, Teajan Cricket Club, Shivraje Cricket Club, Khutkar Brothers, Nagueshi Youth, Ayaan Warriors, Maharudra Ponda and MSP Sankhali, MLT Cricket Club and MLT Juniors will be participating in the tournament
The fixtures of the knockout cup will be released on December 12 in which the first round will be played till December 23 with two matches a day, followed by quarter-finals in the next two days. The semi-finals will be played on December 26, while the final will be played on December 27.
Club president Siddesh Amonkar was delightfully announced, “Last year we have completed 10 years but due to pandemic situation we could not celebrate the same but this year we are celebrating it and as part of the celebration we have decided to hike the prize money for this cup and also we have hiked in individual prizes along with gifts.”
The organisers have also made sure that every match of the cup is broadcasted on YouTube channels with live commentary.
