CHICALIM: Monti, Benaulim Veterans entered the final of the Vasco Veterans football tournament, defeating Sun Mon Veterans, Chandor 5-1, at Village Panchayat ground, Chicalim, on Wednesday.
Robert Fernandes opened the scoring for Monti Veterans Benaulim in the 4th minute, while Rosario Carvalho doubled the lead for Benaulim in the 7th minute.
Robin Pinheiro scored a brace for Benaulim in the 9th and 40th minutes. Brian Diniz was the other goal scorer.
Patricio Noronha pulled a goal back for Sun Moon Veterans in the 49th minute.
Monti Veterans Benaulim will meet Albert Developers in the final on January 22.
