SANGUEM: Mott FC, Rivona, clinched the Season 1 of Sanguem Football League, defeating Dattawadi Boys Sanguem, 3-0, organised by Miracles Sports Club of Sanguem, played at Govt Sports Complex, Sanguem. A total of 15 teams participated in the tournament.
Mott FC led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Austin Carvalho and Rutik Bandodkar. The third goal came in the second half, scored by Pirush Gaonkar with a precise snapshot from outside the penalty box.
The winners pocketed Rs 30,000 and a trophy while the runners-up had to content with Rs 20,000 and a trophy. The third place was bagged by JP Legends.
