CUNCOLIM: Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinim, Marina English High School, Verna, Rosary High School, Navelim and Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem moved ahead in the U-14 inter-school Salcete Zone football tournament, organised by DSYA and played at Cuncolim School ground, on Saturday.
In the first match of the day, Mount Mary’s HS defeated AIM English HS, Margao 3-0. Shario Gomes, Adriano Pinto and Jovi Keff Pereira were the scorers. Akif Sayed’s four goal thriller helped Marina English HS to score thumping 4-0 win over St Rock’s HS.
Rosary HS also moved ahead with 2-0 win over St Alloysium HS, Benaulim. Noah Louis and Samith Naik scored a goal each. Mae Dos Pobres HS recorded identical 2-0 win over Government HS, Davorlim with Shenoy Colaco and Selroy Coutinho scoring a goal each.
