CHINCHINIM: Mount Mary’s High School Chinchinim defeated Holy Spirit Institute Margao, 3-1, and moved into the quarterfinals of the U-17 St Joseph Vaz Soccer tournament organised by Mount Mary’s High Schoo Chinchinim at our lady of Hope church Chinchinim on Thursday.
Mount Marys High School, Chinchinim netted a brace through Om Raiker in the 24th and 25th minutes and Gibbs Pinto in the 7th minute, whereas for Holy Spirit, Archit Pawar netted a goal in the 11th minute.
The other results of other matches played today are as follows.
Perpetual SC HS, Chinchinim defeated st St Xavier HS Velim 2-0 (Meayfern Rebello – 4th minute and Denver Pires – 24th minute). Bethany convent HS Soa Jose de Areal defeated Infant Jesus high school Colva 4-0 (Sam Mourad – 11th, Josley Gomes – 12th, Josley Gomes 15th and PIO Gomendes 28th minute respectively). Our Lady of Health H/S Cuncolim defeated St Rock HS Tellencanto 1-0 (Nash Fernandes). St Joseph Edu.Inst., Chandor defeated Regina Martyrun HS Asolna 1-0 (Mildroy Menezes). StThomas H.S Cansaulim defeated St Joseph HS Aquem 1-0 (Masaia D’mello). Rosary High School Navelim defeated our lady of Carmel high school Curtorim 5-4 via the tiebreaker.
All the winners moved into the quarterfinals.
