RAIA: Mount Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Chinchinim defeated Fr Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School, Verna, 8-7 via sudden death to emerge champs of the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Salcete Taluka boys football tournament played, at Cuncolim school ground.
Gibbs Pinto scored for Mt Mary’s HSS while Pritam Kattimani netted for Fr Agnel HSS. Both the teams were tied at 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Mt Mary’s HSS emerged victorious. Now, the winners will play in the South District U-17 football tournament.
