MRF MoGrip FMSCI on April 16

NAVELIM: The inaugural round of the 18th edition of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI (Round 1 Goa) National Super Cross Championship will be held at Navelim, on April 16.

NAVELIM: The inaugural round of the 18th edition of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI (Round 1 Goa) National Super Cross Championship will be held at Navelim, on April 16.
This will be the first round of the total six round FMSCI National Super Cross Championship which is one of the biggest off road two wheeler national racing championship.
Godspeed Racing, Pune spearheaded by seven-time national two-wheeler motorsports champion Shyam Kothari has owned the rights of organising this championship for the last six years.
Shyam Kothari said that the organisers have taken all the precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the participants and spectators.
He said that this is the second consecutive year where in a leg of this championship is being held in Goa at this popular super cross track. 
“We have indentified Goa as an integral part of this sport and the championship and have announced the inaugural round here,” Shyam said.
Kothari also disclosed the tentative venue for other rounds. Round 2 at Coimbatore , Round 3 at Cochin, Round 4 at Jaipur, Round 5 at Bangalore International and Round 6 at Pune International.
KV Aravind, Team TVS Bangalore, Tanveer AW, R Barguje, Yash Pawar are some of the Indian riders vying for the top honours. 
Shabuddin Sayed and Irfan Killedar are the favourites to clinch the local class in Goa.
The Stat Warts Motor Sports Club headed by Sydney Soares and Frankie Pires have been the chief architects of this championship.
SX Event in Goa will be held on April 15 to 16 at the Navelim Super Cross Track.
This event in Goa is being held under the ageis of the Sports Authority of Goa with the guidance from SAG Executive Director V M Prabhudessai
VM Prabudesaai lauded the efforts of the organisers in promoting the motor sports in the State and out department are extending moral support to the organisers.
He also appealed the motors fans to attend in large numbers.
