TEAM HERALD
PANJIM: The inter-schools management football tournament organised by St. Thomas HSS staff and students, in memory of the MSFS founder Fr Peter Mermier, at Aldona, has enetered the semifinals stage.
In all 13 teams participated.
In the matches held so fast, St Thomas HSS Aldona beat Vividha HSS Navelim by 5 goals to 3.
Fr Jose (2), John (2) and Bernard (1), scored for St Thomas while Daya of Vividha scored a hard earned trick shot, but despite his gallant efforts St Thomas finished the day victorious.
In other matches St Brittos, Mapuca, defeated St Thomas, Aldona, by 2-1 goals. Fr Jose scored for St Thomas and Pawan and Fr Anand shot one each for St. Brittos.
In the second match of the day SFX school, Siolim, out played Saraswat College Mapuca, via the tie-breaker. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Finally in the exciting tie-breaker Siolim emerged victorious 3-2.
The finals will be on Monday, September 30.
