Both the teams began the match on an attacking note. Xetrapal were lucky to be awarded a penalty in the fourth minute as Reagan handled the ball in the danger zone.
However, the resultant penalty was shot over by Sherwin Lobo much to the disappointment of his teammates and supporters. Pilerne created a couple of scoring opportunities but their forwards ran out of ideas in front the of rival goal. There was no score at half time.
After change of ends and when it looked like the match would be settled by penalty kicks, Mukund Shirodker scored the match-winner in the dying minutes of play after receiving a good ball from Vikesh Pednekar.
Xetrapal Sports Club will now take on Sangolda Lightning in the final, on Wednesday.
