RAIA: Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll outplayed Ambelim1 via tie-breaker to move into the finals of Regina Martyrum Parish Cup 2023 organised by Regina Martyrum Parish, at Assolna church ground, on Thursday. The match was tied 0-0 at the end of regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Crossley Luis and Croydon Fernandes scored for Mulleavaddo/Bainfoll whereas only Jenniton D’Silva scored for Ambelim 1. Crosley Luis was awarded the man-of-the-match for his excellent overall performance. In another semi-final, Tarivaddo 2 defeated Banda 1 via tie-breaker 6-5. Match was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time. For Tarivaddo 2, Jaden Cardozo scored in the 1st and 3rd minutes, to complete his brace.
For Banda 1, Aaron D’Costa scored in the 6th minute and Clifton Almeida netted in the 7th minute. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Jeston, Clifton and Aaron were on target for Banda 1 while Jeral, Jaden, Noel and Valanko netted for Tarivaddo 2. The player-of-the-match award went to Jaden Cardozo. Chief guest was Fr Mansueto Fernandes, assistant parish priest of Regina Martyrum Church, Assolna.
