DAVORLIM: Murida Veterans defeated Fatorda Veterans 9-8 via the tie-breaker to move into the final of the Strength Cup organised by Davorlim-Dicarpali Sports Lovers at Davorlim Sports Club ground on Monday.
It was a match played between two close neighbours of Fatorda wherein Seby of Murida Fatorda Veterans was the star for their team while Francis Andrade gave his best to Fatorda Veterans. Both teams kept the spectators on their toes till the final whistle.
Murida Veterans netted a goal each through Seby Bobby, Borkar and Francisco while Francis Andrade netted a brace and Vincent and Tony netted a goal each for Fatorda Veterans.
In the resultant tie-breaker Murida Veterans proved to be better shooters.
