SANGUEM: Muriel Shanessa Fernandes from Sanguem Taluka and Class V student of The King’s School, Margao, achieved FIDE Rating of 1512 in Standard format of game of chess in August.
Earlier, in January 2014, she had obtained international rating of 1412 in Rapid Version. She is also conferred diploma by FIDE for having obtained the title of Arena Fide Master in March this year.
She is coached by International Arbiter and GCA coach Sanjay Kavlekar at RCC Fatorda.
