PANJIM: Mustifund High School, Panjim stunned Sharda Mandir to move into the final of the GCA President’s Cup cricket tournament, at Campal ground, on Wednesday
In the semi-finals played at Campal grounds, Mustifund HS won the match by 3 wickets.
Batting first Sharda Mandir scored 176 all out in 37.1 overs.
Parth Teli (40), Jeet Kavlekar (20), Harsh Sanglekar (19) and Smit Dalvi (19) were the scorers for Sharda Mandir.
Ajinkya Chari (3/32), Kastub Pingulkar (1/27) were the pick of bowlers for Sharda Mandir.
Lankesh Pawne and Aryan Mashelkar took a wicket each.
In reply Mushtifund were 177/7 in 31.6 overs.
Ajinkya Chari (39), Omkar Parab (26), Lakmesh Pawne (18), Kiran Rathore (11) and Kaivalya Chari (10) were the contributors to the total.
For Sharda Mandir, Parth Teli picked two wickets. Mihir Raikar, Prathamesh Naik, Jeet Kavlekar and Mayank Singh took a wicket each.
In another match, Hedgewar High School defeated Progress HS by two wickets.
Progress HS won the toss and elected to bat and scored a total of 230/7 while Hedgewar HS in reply scored 243/8 in 39. 3 overs.
