PANJIM: Mustifund High School, Panjim won by 37 runs against Progress High School, Panjim in Germania inter-school cricket tournament 2013, Wednesday. Mustifund won the toss and elected to bat scoring 117 for 10 in 19.5 overs. Tunish Sawkar 50, Aniket Patil 17 and Sanat Mhapne 15 topped scored.
For Progress, Manish Adikhari 16/1, Tushar Biswas 24/2, Saif Ali Karajgi 23/1, Deepak Vishwakarma 14/1, Hemant Jal 10/2, Narendra Sale 3/1 came out good in blowing to do the damage for the opponent.
In reply, Progress managed to pull out 80 runs for 10 wickets in 18.3 overs. Tushar Biswas 13, Manish Adhikari 15, Hemant Jal 10 and Ejaz Beleri 17 were the top scorers.
Mustifund blowers had the field day taking down the opponent easily through Roshan Bhandari 17/3, Sanat Mhapne 7/1, Pranav Shirodkar 9/3, Savio Kaalko 14/1, Mahendra Naik 16/2.
In the second match, Mother of Mercy English High School won by six wickets against Government High School, Alto Betim.
Government High School won the toss and elected to bat accumulating 80 runs for 10 wickets in 19.1 overs. Rahul Mehta 10, Banderaman Sutgund 18 and Mehboob Attar 12 top scored. Mother of Mercy’s Siddharth Naik 13/2, Maruti Huggi 4/3, Vishnu Kudalkar 11/2, Mukesh Purohit 18/1 were at their best to halt the opponent.
In reply, Mother of Mercy scored 82/4 in 13.4 overs. Aniket Naik gave his team the boost with 42 runs. Banderaman Sutgund 20/2 and Aditya Suryawanshi 10/2 could give their best for Government High School.
