CURCHOREM: Nagoa Sporting Arpora defeated Rossman Cruz Nagoa 4-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of 17th Holy Cross inter-village soccer tournament at Vodlemoll ground, Kakoda. There was no score at full time.
Franky Abranches effected a couple of breath-taking saves for Nagoa preventing Amir from scoring.
In the second half, Pramod missed two easy chances for Arpora. Rupesh, the custodian of Arpora missed to collect a rival’s try but defender Raghuvir came to his side’s rescue. In the dying minutes, Franky saved a shot from Shubham.
In the tie-breaker, Bazileo Rego, Santan Rego and Stanley Pereira scored for Rossman Cruz Nagoa while Savio Pereira, Stanley Coutinho, Punaji Kalangutkar and Harish Dickstein were on target for Arpora.
