PANJIM: Namrat 7 defeated Veigas Boys, Nachinola, 1 – 0 in a nail- biting final of the seven–side football at Nachinola ground, Sunday.
In all, 16 teams participated. Following prizes were awarded: Best goalkeeper Suraj of Namrat 7. Best disciplined team Bom Jesus of Nachinola.
The tournament was declared open by chief organizer William Fernandes and Colin Fernandes. Carlos Ferreira Alvares, MLA was the chief guest. Colin proposed the vote of thanks.
