MARGAO: Nashik Cricket Academy annihilated the CCI Belgaum by 8 wickets in the Late Bhikoo Pai Angle All India tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club, here at SAG Fatorda ground, on Saturday.
The Nashik bowlers exploited the damp morning pitch as CCI opted to bat after winning the toss as they lost wickets at regular intervals eventually to be bowled out for 69 in 26 overs.
Only Siddharth (13), Sriesh (11) Vivek (17) could manage double figures. Ravindra Maccha (4/20) and Sahil (4/19) spun a web around the CCI batsmen while Parth and Pranit claimed one wicket each.
Batting on a drier pitch, Nashik scored 70 for 2 in 10 overs to earn a facile victory for NCA. Sharvin Kisave scored unbeaten 39. Nikhil and Shubham claimed a wicket each.
Ravindra Maccha was adjudged the player-of-the-tournament, Saahil the man-of-the-final while Rohit Patil was the best batsman-of-the-tournament and Nikhil was adjudged the best bowler-of-the-tournament.
Dr Venkatesh Hegde was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
