PANJIM: The Rosary High School, Cujira-Bambolim celebrated the National Sports Day recently to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand Singh and to create awareness on the importance of sports and daily activities in every individual’s life.
The programme was organised by the PE teachers Nameshwar Sangle, Manjita Mathkar and Heramb Prabhu Gaonkar for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.
The programme began with the significance of National Sports Day read by Manjita and a short video on the life of Major Dhyan Chand Singh.
The PE teachers conducted a modified tie breaker followed by Zumba session led by Zin Kirtiraj Dhulapkar.
