PANJIM: Nauxim Sports Club registered a two goal win over Aivao United Football Club in the GFA Second Division League at Taleigao ground, on Monday.
Nandesh Murgaonkar scored a brace for the winners in the 3rd and 42nd minutes. In the second half there were no goals as the full time read 2-0 in favor of Nauxim SC.
Meanwhile in another match at Artificial Turf ground, United Club of Telaulim came from behind to down Guirdolim Club 3-2.
United Club of Telaulim took the lead in the 14th minute through Foley Dias. Guirdolim Club soon restored parity through Frazer Fernandes in the 22nd minute. The teams were tied 1-1 at the break.
In the second half, Guirdolim came with renewed ideas and took just four minutes to take the lead through Rimon Fernandes.
However, finding themselves on the back foot, Telaulim fought gallantly and were rewarded with the equaliser in the 87th minute through Jarson Costa.
In the 90+1st minute Silvano Oliveira sealed the game for Telaulim with the winning goal.
In another match Agassaim ground, CDJ Ribandar scored a comprehensive 5-1 win over Sateri SC. Vishal Adkonkar and Mateus Dias scored a brace each while Celrich Almeida scored the other goal for the winners. Sidesh Shirvoikar pulled a goal back for the losing team.
At Jai Kisan ground, Cortalim Villagers held Chicalim Sports Club to a 1-1 draw. Chicalim SC took the lead in the 42nd minute through Anantha Pillai while Cortalim scored the equalising goal through Roycen Azavedo in the 67th minute.
