CARMONA: Navelim Villagers Union edged past Pax of Nagao 2-1 to move into the quarter-finals of 2nd Carmona VP Cup organised by Carmona SC, at Carmona VP ground, on Saturday.

Navelim Villagers opened the scoring through Joevin Costa in the 21st minute. Pax of Nagoa scored immediately in the 22nd minute through Chirsto D’Mello.
The teams went into lemon break with 1-1 draw.
In the second half, the teams played an attacking football but it was Navelim Villagers who scored through Dan Fernandes to advance into the quarter-finals. Dan was adjusted Man-of-the-Match.
