RAIA-SOLVA: Navelim Sporting Club shot-out Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda 4-1 via the tie-breaker to move into the semi-final of the 48th Custodio Memorial football tournament organised by Raia Sporting Club, at Raia panchayat ground, on Sunday.
Just in the second minute, Edgar Noronha of Don Bosco after dribbling past defenders Brandon Gomes and Valinton D’Silva shot from close range but Selvin Gomes keeper of Navelim palmed away the ball to safety.
Six minutes later, Navelim striker Clinton Niasso took a long range shot which failed to pop up into the Don Bosco net.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Navelim SC netted through Clinton Niasso, Aulon Gomes, Danstan and Ronaldo while only Valito Miranda scored for DBO Fatorda.
