NAVELIM: Navelim Villagers Union defeated Goa Velha Sports Club 5-1 to enter into the semi-finals of the Navelim Villagers Union Trophy in memory of late Jose Santa Rita Coelho (Babush) inter-village football tournament played at Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Navelim Villagers Union scored a brace each through Clinton Niasso and Prestly Gomes while Selwin Gomes netted one.
Sahil J Chopdek pulled a goal back for Goa Velha. Navelim Villlagers Union will now meet Guirdolim Club on Sunday.
