BETALBATIM: Navelim Villagers Union beat Maina Sports Club, Curtorim by a solitary goal to book their place in the semi-finals of the Late Joao Francisco and Luiza Pacheco Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club, at Betalbatim Panchayat ground on, Saturday.
The all important goal of the match was scored in the 15th minute by Aulon Gomes. Maina SC tried to get back in the game but their strikers lacked sharpness.
