PANJIM: Abiel Costa’s solo effort helped Navelim Villagers Union record a narrow 1-0 win over St Sebastian UC in the Goa Football Association U-14 league, at Cavelossim ground, on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, at Curtorim ground, Futebol Club YFC were beaten 0-5 by Raia Football Club.
The winners, who led 2-0 at the breather scored through a Monif Sanchez double while Aniston D’Silva, Chalton Coelho and Kayden Mansley Faleiro netted a goal each.
In another match at Curtorim ground, Maina Sports Club and Sirvodem SC played out a 2-2 draw. Velroy Rebello and Daniel Fernandes scored for Sirvodem while Glen Fernandes and Crizenal Pereira scored for Maina SC.
In the U-16 League match played at Duler Stadium, Dunes Sports Club scored a thumping 5-0 win over Saligao Sporting Club.
