PANJIM: Navelim defeated Verna in an exciting marathon tie-breaker to win the 1st all Goa inter-village futsal tournament, organized by Lazy Boys FC at Kings Turf at Verna, recently.
The teams were even at full time. Navelim won 8-7 in sudden death.
Quelossim secured the third place. Altogether 32 teams participated in the tournament.
Benaulim MLA and Goa Football Association President Churchill Alemao was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of Jose Cabral (special invitee)
