PANJIM: Navhind Publications will take on All India Radio (AIR) in the inaugural match of inter-media nine-a-side football tournament on May 16 at Don Bosco HS ground, Panjim, at 4 p.m.
The tournament has been organised by Sports Journalists Association of Goa (SJAG) with support from Don Bosco Oratory, Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) and Sporting Clube de Goa. Fomento Media will meet Department of Information in the second match on the opening day at 5 p.m.
On the second day of the tournament (May 17), three matches will be played. Tarun Bharat will clash with Rest of Press at 3 p.m, followed by a match between Herald and Lokmat at 4 p.m.
The winners of the match between Fomento Media and Information, will play Times of India at 5 p.m.
Both the semi-finals will be played on May 18 at 4 and 5 p.m. respectively. The final will be held on May 19 at 5 p.m.
Teams have to report 45 minutes before kick-off.
