CUNCOLIM: SCC Cavelossim SOWS beat Goa Velha Saints by 2-0 deficit in the Vedanta Women’s Football League organised by Goa Football Association, played at Cuncolim ground, on Sunday.
SCCC SOWS game in as a strong side after a 3-1 win over Albert Princesses in the previous game held at Sirsaim ground while Goa Velha Saints played out a goalless draw against Flaming Oranje there.
SCCC Sows took the lead in the 30th minute of the game through Nevilla Colaco who placed her fine strike into the back of the nets giving her team a 1-0 lead to move into the half.
Moving over, SCCC Sows were the better side again as Nevilla doubled the lead in the 65th minute to double her tally.
On the other side, Goa Velha Saints were made to drop low the entire time as the Cavelossim side kept pressing hard through Namita Govekar and the star performer Nevilla who made it a difficult time for the back line of the Saints.
