PANJIM: New Vaddem (A) defeated New Vaddem (B) 5-4 via tie-breaker via tie breaker over to retain the Champions title at the 7-a-side inter-ward football tournament organized by the St Andrew’s Parish Youth, Vasco, at Regina Mundi school ground, Chicalim, recently.
While in the 3-a-side tie-breaker tournament for girls, Airport Road Ward overcame C.B.O.M. Ward to claim top honours.
The lightning tournament which featured 16 wards was kicked-off by chief guest Lavino Goes, executive member of the Goa Football Association.
The prizes and trophies were given away at the hands of Emanuel Sanchez. The function was also graced by Parish Priest Fr Gabriel Coutinho, Youth Animator Fr Camilo Dias, and Fr Joevit D’Costa.
