Nippon Goju Karate-Do gave an impressive performance to bag 20 gold, 22 silver and 5 bronze medals in kata, kamite, team kata divisions respectively in 1st Shotokan Karate-Do Japan Federation Championship organized by Nippon Karate Association of Goa, at MCC hall, here recently.
Sharmad Raiturkar, president, South Goa district Bhartiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Rajan Satarker, president, Bhartiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha, Margao, Vinod Keni, and sensei Babu. In all, 250 karatekas participated.
The students were coached by chief instructor, sensei Gaurish Dabholkar, black belt 4th dan.
