Nuvem Sports Club registered a 3-1 win over Pilerne Sports Club to enter the quarter-finals of 1st All-Goa 9-a-side Reis Magos Panchayat Cup soccer organised by Verem Boys at Verem Panchayat ground. The teams were level 1-1 at half time.
Neves Noronha, opened the account for Nuvem in the 13th minute off Marcus Carvalho.
Pilerne got the equaliser in the 22nd minute from the penalty spot through Agnelo Lobo, after Swapnil was brought down by a Nuvem defender
Nuvem were back in action, on crossing over, and netted two more goals through Jose Pango’s stinging shot and Pobres Colaco’s solo effort.
Yesterday, Sangolda Lightning registered a narrow 3-2 win over Sai Avatar, Anjuna to enter the quarter-finals.
Sangolda went into the lemon break with a one-goal cushion, from Agnelo Quadros who scored as the rival keeper fumbled in his collection.
On crossing over, Malcom and Nikhil Naik pumped in two more goals for Sangolda while Saprem Diukar and Joseph Noronha pulled BACK two goals for Anjuna side.
