RAIA: Nuvem SC blanked Rossman Cruz Nagoa, Verna with a 2-0 win to move into final of the Arlem Trophy after their semi-final victory at the Raia Panchayat ground, on Tuesday.
A brace from Myron Borges with goals in either half sealed the tie as Nuvem SC set up a final showdown with Arlem Youth Association.
As much as the goals, the victory was secured on the back of some solid defending led by veteran Nicolau Colaco.
The game had a slow start but Nuvem SC started to find their form and the Rossman defence was picked open by Myron Borges.
Myron scored in the 15th minute after he bullied the Rossman defence and finished calmly.
The teams went into the break with a 1-0 score-line.
In the second half, Rossman Cruz had a great opportunity to get back into the game as Rossman won a penalty and they had the opportunity to level terms.
Wilson Fernandes stepped up to take the spot kick but he ended up shooting wide. The miss proved costly as Myron struck again from a quick counter-attack.
Rossman fought hard but they could not get past the rock solid defence of Nuvem SC led by Nicolau Colaco. Nuvem goalkeeper Floyd Colaco was up to the task as he made some crucial interceptions to deny the Rossman players any sniff at goal.
Nuvem will now clash with Arlem YA on May 20.
