Odxel Sports Club, Taleigao emerged winners in 2-a-side State Beach Volleyball Tournament organised by Cacra Sports Club, Santa Cruz in collaboration with Goa Volleyball Association at Miramar beach on Sunday.
In all, three rounds were played. In the first round, Odxel beat Cacra 21-10. In the semi-final round, Odxel defeated Vasco Sports Club 21-12.
In the finals, Odxel beat Goa Police 21-16 to win the tournament.
The teams: Odxel – Anil Shirodkar and Ravi Shirodkar. Goa Police – Jeet Arolkar and Pralhad Dhabolkar. Vasco SC – Suresh Pujari and Willy Fernandes. Cacra SC – Sandeep Sawant and Kalash Sawant.
Chief guest Irwin Soares, President of All-India Beach Volleyball Association and president of Goa Volleyball Association, gave away the prizes. Secretary ,Luis Pires and Santosh Bandodkar were also present.
