FATORDA: Our Lady of Carmel’s HS defeated The King’s School 1-0 in the girls category of the DSYA U-13 Futsal Tournament, organised by Futsal Association of Goa (FAG) at Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, on Friday. Vellene Costa scored the lone goal of the match.
In the second match, Manovikas EMS eased past Auxillum HS, 2-0. Naomi Viegas continued her goal scoring spree as she scored two while Meghan Dias netted one.
Meanwhile, St.Jude HS, Betalbatim registered a fluent 4-1 win over St Anthony HS, Majorda.
Vinoshka Fernandes stole the limelight netting three goals and Vienna Coelho added the fourth. Sneha Naik pulled a goal back for the losing side.
In the boys section, Mount Mary HS defeated St. Anthony HS, Majorda, 2-0.
Neswil Pinto and Sohil Shaikh were on target for the winning team.
In another match, Assumpta Convent HS beat The King’s School 2-1.
Alexander Alemao and Nesh Rebello netted a goal each for Assumpta Convent while Sharmad Kurade pulled a goal back for The Kings School.
Goalkeeper of Assumpta Convent, Bradley Fernandes made wonderful saves and kept them alive in the game.
