OL Gloria win five-goal thriller; Sattyam treble helps Colvale win

PANJIM: Coming from two goals down, Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club recorded a 3-2 win over Arlem Youth Club in Goa Football Association Third Division League match played at Dando ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
It was a tale of two halves as Arlem Youth Association dominated the first half while Our Lady of Gloria outplayed their opponents in the second session.
Leonardo Almeida scored the first goal for Arlem YC in the sixth minute before Rosben Colaco doubled the account in the 20th minute. Our Lady of Gloria pulled a goal back just before the breather through Velincio Fernandes.
In the second half, Gloria SC scored two goals through Shubert Dias and Joswel Cardozo to steal the three points from their opponents.
In another match at Mandopa ground, Parish Youth Nuvem defeated Raia Sporting Club 2-0. Denikson Dias scored both goals for the winners netting a goal each in either half.
At Assonora ground, Youth Sports Club Colvale scored a thumping 10-0 win over St Domnic Savio SC, Calvim. Sattyam Gawas scored a fine hat-trick for the winners while Akash Parwar and Anford Fernandes scored a brace. Pratik Naik, Rakesh Samal and Derrick Rodrigues scored a goal each for Colvale.
GFA U-16 League
Salcete FC struggled before registering a hard-fought 3-2 win over Ave Maria Athletic & Welfare Club in the Goa Football Association U-16 League at Astro turf ground, Fatorda, on Tuesday.
It was a seesaw battle where Salcete FC had to twice come from behind to beat their opponents.
Ave Maria were first to score in the second minute through Nusenabasha Nadal. But Salcete FC restored parity through Adman Gomes.
However, Ave Maria once again took the lead in the 10th minute through Aman Sahni. Salcete FC fought hard to find the equalising goal through Omkar Gaunkar before scoring the match-winner through Vivaldy Travasso in the 36th minute. The scores remained 3-2 till the final whistle.
In another match at Dramapur ground, Wilred Leisure scored a 6-0 win over Rumdamol Sports Club.
Venson Paes scored a brace and Sneden Almeida, Nezly Hilario, Sem Fernandes and Velrod Fernandes netted a goal each for the winners.
