DAMON-RAIA: Our Lady of Mother of the Poor HS, Tilamol downed Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim 3-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the 4th Fr Peter SVD Memorial football tournament, organised by SVD Mission Seminary in association with SVD Friends Association, at SVD Seminary ground, Damon-Raia, on Monday.
Tilamol midfielder Mejoyce Goes was the star of the match as he was outstanding in all departments of his team.
Tilamol netted the first goal of the match through Arhan Shaikh off Mejoyce Goes’ connect in the tenth minute.
In the second half, Tilamol doubled the lead through Joyden Vaz in the 37th minute.
Later in the 45th minute, Mejoyce Goes netted the third for Tilamol with a placement shot while Shane Monteiro pulled a goal back for Cuncolim.
Mejoyce Goes received the man-of-the-match award from Nelson Landez, ex-international football player from Vasco.
