OL Rosary HS move into qtrs

DAMON- RAIA: Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda produced a good show to drub Marina English High School, Verna 4-1 to romp into the quarter-finals of the 3rd edition of Under-14 boys Fr Peter SVD Memorial Inter-School football tournament played at SVD Seminary ground, Daman-Raia, on Thursday.
The highlight of the day was a splendid four-goal blitz including hat-trick by Siddel Araujo while Salvador Gama scored the consolation goal. 
Our Lady of Rosary High School dominated the game right from the whistle and pushed their opponents on the back foot throughout the game. Their superiority bore the fruit when Siddel after making a superb run down the flank punished the rival goalkeeper with snap shot in the 9th minute. 
Four minutes later, Our Lady of Rosary High School doubled their advantage through Siddel who rose above the defenders and slotted past the rival goalkeeper. The 2-0 cushion helped Rosary School to mount pressure on the rival citadel and Siddel then got his much deserved goal when he slammed the ball into the net. 
Down by 0-3, Marina English High School made concentrated efforts and scored the consolation goal through Salvador.
The second period was no different as Rosary School kept up the pressure over the Verna school, who seemed to have ran out of ideas. Rosary School weren’t done yet as they slammed one more goal to put the result beyond doubt. The final goal came midway in the second half when Siddel drove the final nail into rival coffin. Siddel was adjudged man-of-the-match.
